Digital Referee Recertification
Grow Your Vision
The NJSRC has discontinued the Digital Referee program in New Jersey for 2025. If you would like to renew your 2024 digital referee license, you will have to take the digital recertification/bridge class and a field session. By taking your bridge class and field session, you will be registered as a Referee for 2025.
Your current 2024 digital registration expires on 12/31/24, and you will not be eligible to officiate after that date if you have not completed your 2025 recertification/bridge class.
Your recertification will be completed through your learning.ussoccer.com account. The fee for the digital referee recertification is $65. This fee does not include the background check fee, if needed.
When you are registering for your recertification, make sure you are registering in NJ and not another state. Do not reset the filter settings when you get to the registration page, keep the Host as NJ. Make sure the recertification you are registering for is titled – “New Jersey 2025 – Digital Referee Recertification”.
NJ's recertification for 2025 digital bridge class will have both an online component as well as an in-person field session. Once you complete your online work, you will be emailed on Monday/Tuesday with instructions on how to register for your field session. You will be sent a field session invite on Friday before your scheduled field session with venue address and class details. Your field session will be 3 hours long. Once you complete your field session, then you will be registered as a Referee. Field sessions will be offered through April 2025. There is no guarantee of dates after that time. Field session dates are currently posted through November.
Required Assignments to be completed prior to the deadline for attending your field session:

Any questions, please email me at office@njrefs.com. Neither NJSRC personnel nor instructors monitor the chat in the Learning Center.
Please remember to make sure you are registering in New Jersey and not another state! NJ does not accept any out-of-state recertifications (you cannot recertify in another state).
